VESSEL EXAMINERS NEEDED AS&PS needs more VEs in order to maintain or hopefully improve on last years record. Most of the VSCs are performed in the Spring and early Summer, so if you can help during this period, you are strongly encouraged to become a VE. To do that, you should attend the two training/organization sessions at the Edgewater Library, 25 Stepney Lane, Edgewater. You will be provided with a VE Manual, must pass a test, and will have to will have to perform five VSCs each year to maintain your VE qualification. It is strongly recommended that you express your desire to help well in advance (perhaps a month) of the first meeting, so I can give you a copy of the VE Manual for you to study before the first meeting. Most VEs make arrangements to perform inspections at their own marinas or neighborhoods, but there will be opportunities to visit some of the other local marinas as well. In addition, there are some annual events that feature VSCs. If you have any questions or would like to become a VE, please contact
